我沒有工作已經有半年了。很多朋友都問我

• 想放假放到何時
• 在家的日子怎過，悶死了沒有
• 其實想找什麼工作

其實我也不知放到何時，因為我不知做什麼好。不知道做什麼好因為我不知自己懂得做什麼。
越知得多，越覺得自己的不足。之前的工作有很多時間做Research，試Product，現在更是”Full Time” 在家睇news，每一秒的新事物，新skill，排山倒海而來。當每天醒來，望見新service，新library，新blah blah blah，不自覺想，我一直在做的，真是不夠水準。

除了對自己的信心，另一樣令我不知道找什麼工的原因，是試了過幾家公司，得出的一個結論 : Style和Value是不能change or train的，而當你的style和value與公司的不同，事倍工半之餘，大家都會很辛苦。不找工，是半放棄香港公司的價值觀和做事方法。找到我認同而又認到我的公司很難吧!

我是喜愛發夢的人，覺得自己可以做點不同的事，能給世界一點點特別的東西。然而，我也是矛盾的人，悲觀的人。

為什麼會突然說這些話呢? 其實是今天發生的事，今我想將自己平時的想法記下來。

今天去了中環食lunch，是我的一個舊朋友Belle請我去的，原因是她想向她的一位朋友推薦我作他公司的UI Designer。這位新認識的朋友其實我之前已從網上知道他的一點點，(公司和名字現在不說了，十畫都未有一撇呢 ! 一說大家都會知道的。) 他公司的運作正是我一直夢想但已不信香港會有人做到的方法 ! Workflow 是我在舊公司想做但失敗而回的，Team Scale更是我believe的small team。最做要，他們說出了我一直掛在口邊的話 : “每個人的lifecycle是不同的，為何不選擇自已最comfortable和最好performace的時間工作?” 如果我(能夠) join 他的公司，我不一定要每天回office的 ! 我搬到”山 ka la”的心願不就能能實現嗎 ?

我還concern甚麼呢?
Full time work? 他們提出的 remote work 我還有甚麼投訴。
是對自己的信心吧 ! 他們existing的UI我一直也覺得不錯，我會做得到嗎 ?
Next step，找些task試一試吧 ! (This is good for both. I also want to test the candidate in the ex-company, but result just disappointed me. )

另外Belle好像有些interesting的iPhone project，可以試一試吧。

It is the style I want.
In this year, I keep thinking about the working model I like, or make me comfortable. I found the current company doesn’t suit me. It is too big.
Many paper work (lucky I am the one who do that less in the team). We build software, but most of the time we are writing in Word? We are not reporter, we are not book writer.
The world keep changing. But we have to confirm everything at the “design phase” and move on to the “development phase”. Then wait few months to see is it really good as we thought, if not, plan and submit changes and wait for another months. I don’t like this.

I build software.
Not for the sales to easy selling.
Not to win the competitors in the feature check list.
Not (only) sit and wait for salary.

I am here to prepare something that make people life easier, happier.
