Sunday Report

Drive to Taiwai today, put down my cousin there. Drive back to 烏溪沙. Realllllllllllly danger~ I haven’t sit as a driver for a car with 4 wheels for 1 year!! Totally lost the concept of speed. Why I just feel the car walk in slow motion for any speed?
Go there help my aunt fix the home network. Seems fixing computer or other technical support are the only activity I can play with on my holiday.

On the way back to Fanling, get a call from my father. I haven’t back home for more than 2 months already. So interesting, normally he will ask me back to dinner. But this time, he haven’t. He just dated me to hiking, on the end of Sep~ It seems that he accepted and expected I will not visit him so often.

Finally able to sit on the sofa. Rest for few mins. Then I got the call from brother, “I found that the computer not able to online, please fix it, I am coming back for my WOW.”

I really hate MS Windows VERY MUCH! How come it is so easy to attacked~ So easy to get a secuity hole that make the computer not able to online. And really funny is, I can’t online, but the patch is on the Internet~

Final solution, online with Mac, download the patch, put into the Flash Drive, take that to Window Machine, install it, fixed.

ThanX Apple.

What has our competitor been doing?

Keynote, WWDC 2006

“What has our competitor been doing? Well, they’ve been trying to build a single release that has had many names but is now known as Windows Vista.”, Steve Jobs.

Bertrand, “Two years ago, we thought we’d have a little fun with the folks in Redmond. Let’s look at Spotlight. Now it’s easier to find information on your local disk and on the Web. They did a major innovation. Instead of having the menu on the top right, they have it on the bottom left. Another major technology is RSS. We have a browser that’s simple and elegant and added Safari RSS. Guess what? IE7 RSS.”

“If you can’t innovate, you have to imiate, but it’s never quite as good.”, Bertrand.

“You know, our friends up north spent over $5 billion on R&D, but these days all they seem to be copying is Google and Apple. Shows money doesn’t buy everything.”, Steve Jobs.
